12 Baskets and a Goat – Tipp City, OH

Our latest campaign, 12 Baskets and a Goat, is on tour and coming to Tipp City, OH on November 21st at 6:30 pm at West Charleston Church of the Brethren, 4817 So. State Route 202, Tipp City, OH! Admission is free and open to the public.

Please come prepared to bid on home-made breads to benefit Heifer's good work alleviating poverty around the world! Checks, cash, or credit cards will be accepted.
12 Baskets and a Goat is a new project of Ted & Co, Heifer International and Church of the Brethren. The event is based on the exceptional original play, The Jesus Stories: Faith, Forks, and Fettuccine, written and performed by Ted Swartz and Jeff Raught. The fun twist comes with break-out auctions of homemade breads to raise funds for Heifer’s work providing not just food aid, but the source of providing food. Dan West, Church of the Brethren leader and peace advocate who co-founded Heifer, believed that recipients of food aid should not just receive a cup of milk, they should receive the whole goat in hopes of establishing self-reliant, empowered families and communities who not only survive, but thrive.

Come celebrate the theology of the baskets with us – those 12 baskets made full by fragments given and received in faith and love. This Jesus story invites all of us to participate in the reality of enough for all and multiplied blessings made real. (Betcha there were goats there at that first multiplication)
