Event Description

What’s So Funny About Money? – DeWitt, MI

How do we spend our money? Our time? What does it mean to be a steward? Why is it so hard to talk about our own finances? How does our faith fit in to fiscal affairs? Is the banjo really necessary for the show? These are big questions, perhaps best asked with a large helping of humor.

Get a new perspective on your relationship with God and money during the live Ted & Company show What’s So Funny About Money? coming to DeWitt Redeemer United Methodist Church (13980 Schavey Rd, DeWitt, MI) on March 1, 2014. The performance is part of A Focus on Stewardship and Mission Conference happening from 9:00 am to 2:15 pm and will include a hand-crafted pie auction. The event is sponsored by the United Methodist Church Lansing District Conference.

Ted Swartz and Jeff Raught have created a musical comedy surrounding stewardship and what we do with our time and money. And this event is not just interested in talking about money. This is an interactive event for people interested in engaging in laughter, thoughtful dialogue and pie. Yes,... the event includes a hand crafted pie auction where pie sale proceeds will raise money for Imagine No Malaria, an initiative dedicated to eradicating malaria in Africa.

This humorous and thought-provoking show explores our discomfort with talking about money, the financial pressures we face, our use of time, and yes, pie. What’s So Funny About Money? is guaranteed to make you laugh, make you think, and then make you laugh some more (while buying pie…).
